Terms and conditions

for the Europa-Park Hotel app competition

Europa-Park GmbH & Co Hotelbetriebe KG is the sole organiser of the competition and is therefore responsible for the organisation and execution of the competition (hereinafter referred to as the ‘organiser’). To take part in our competition, you must download the Europa-Park Hotel app and set up an account. Participation in the competition is free of charge.

By entering our competition, you accept our terms and conditions and, in the event of you winning, consent to the publication of your data in accordance with Section 5 of the data protection principles as part of reporting on the competition.

Please note: For reasons of readability, the masculine form has been used in the text, but the information always refers to all genders (male, female, diverse).

Our conditions of participation:

1. participation in the competition
All natural persons who are at least 16 years old and have their permanent residence (valid postal address) within Europe are eligible to participate. In the case of minors, the consent of a legal representative or legal guardian is always required. This consent is confirmed by accepting the conditions of participation. Europa-Park employees, dealers and partners of the organizer as well as all persons involved in the creation and implementation of the competition and the family members of all aforementioned persons are excluded from participation in the competition.
By clicking on the “Take part in the competition” button, the participant agrees to these terms and conditions.

2. exclusion of certain persons
If a participant violates these conditions or uses false information, the organizer reserves the right to exclude the participant from the competition. It is prohibited to use multiple profiles to increase the chances of winning. In the event of a breach of the conditions of participation or an attempt at technical manipulation, the organizer may exclude certain participants from the competition. In such a case, prizes may also be subsequently withdrawn and reclaimed.

3. procedure and participation period
To take part in the current competition, the Ed with the golden pillow must be found and tapped in the Europa-Park Hotel App.

The competition ends on 12.07.2025 at 23:59 (Central European Time). Entries received after the closing date will not be included in the draw.

4. draw / publication of the winner
All participants who have confirmed their participation in the period specified in “Point 3” will be entered into the prize draw. The winners will be selected at random on 20.07.2025 and then notified. The winner will be informed by e-mail. The winner must contact us by email within 3 days with their contact details. The participant is responsible for the accuracy of the contact details provided (e.g. for sending the prize). The prize will only be handed over to the winner. In the case of underage winners, the legal representative is also entitled to receive the prize.
The data provided by the participant will only be used for contacting and administering the prize. In connection with the competition, the organizer may also contact participants by email. Questions, suggestions and complaints are to be addressed exclusively to the organizer.

5. Prize
You can win an overnight stay in a themed suite in one of the six 4-star (superior) Europa-Park adventure hotels (of your choice) as well as a day's admission to Europa-Park and Rulantica for up to 4 people. The date of the stay depends on the availability of the hotels.

The prize is neither exchangeable nor transferable. Cash payment is excluded, as is legal recourse. The responsibility for any taxation of the prize lies with the winner. If the organizer is unable to provide the prize as planned for unjustifiable reasons, the organizer reserves the right to provide an equivalent replacement.

6. miscellaneous / severability clause
These conditions of participation, including the competition mechanisms, represent the final regulations for the competition. The law of the Federal Republic of Germany is exclusively applicable. Should individual provisions of these conditions of participation be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
The organizer of the competition reserves the right to change the competition without prior notice and without giving reasons (e.g. the conditions of participation) or to terminate it prematurely in whole or in part if, for legal or technical reasons, the proper execution of the competition can no longer be guaranteed. Participants cannot derive any claims from this.

The participants' data will therefore only be used to determine the winners and will be deleted after 30 days at the latest (see also “Point 6”).
The data of the winners drawn will be used exclusively for the purposes of running the competition (e.g. notification and sending the prize). Beyond this, the data will not be used for any commercial or other non-commercial purposes or for any advertising purposes. The legal basis for data processing in the context of competitions is generally Art. 6 para. 1 f) EU GDPR. 4. recipients / disclosure to third parties
The data collected in the context of competitions is generally only accessible to the department within Europa-Park that carried out the specific competition.
Data will only be passed on to third parties if this is absolutely necessary for the execution of the competition or the sending of the prize (e.g. for the dispatch of the prize by a sponsor). Europa-Park assures that all personal data will be treated confidentially in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations and that corresponding contracts for order processing have been concluded in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

5. consent to the publication of winner data
By participating in the competition, you expressly consent to the name, fact and type of prize being published on Europa-Park's social channels (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, blog, company website) as part of a report on the competition. This consent is voluntary and freely revocable until the names are published. All you need to do is send an email to datenschutz@europapark.de with the reference to the respective competition and the name. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 a) GDPR. Once consent has been withdrawn, the participant's personal data that has been collected and stored will be deleted immediately. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

6. storage period/standard periods for the deletion of data
If there is no statutory retention requirement, the data will be deleted or destroyed when it is no longer required to achieve the purpose of the data processing. After the end of the competition and the announcement of the winners, the participants' data will be deleted after 30 days at the latest. Otherwise, the data will be deleted or destroyed after the statutory retention period has expired.
In the case of non-cash prizes and prize promotion days, the winners' data will be stored for the duration of the statutory warranty claims in order to be able to check and arrange for rectification, replacement or claims settlement in the event of a defect in the prize or a claim.

7. Your rights as a data subject
In accordance with Articles 15-21 GDPR, you can assert the following rights with regard to the personal data processed by us if the conditions described therein are met:
You have the right, pursuant to Article 15(1) GDPR, to request information about the personal data stored about you at Europa-Park. If you have provided the processed data yourself, you have a right to data portability in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR. Please contact the data protection officer in writing or by email in the aforementioned cases, if you have any questions or in the event of complaints (see “Point 1”).
In addition, every data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR if they believe that the processing of personal data concerning them is in breach of the GDPR. The competent supervisory authority for data protection issues is the state data protection officer of the federal state in which our company is based.
